Wellness retreat news!
/My relationship with plants started as a child, where I was lucky enough to have an urban back garden filled with organic fruit and vegetables I would sit for hours collecting worms and talking to the tall stalks of corn.
As I developed this into my adult life my connection became deeper and deeper, I started a journey along with my best friend and soul mate who is just as passionate for all things green as I am, a perfect duo.
So it was no surprise when in 2017 I got the call from Gaia to create a community garden that was the birth call for Haseya.
Haseya is a Navajo girls name meaning “She will Rise”! I’m really proud of what we have done so far with Haseya and we still have a way to go in introducing young children to the world of plants and herbal remedies. It is in these teachings of the wonders of the Earth where Gaia will truly have the opportunity to heal and in turn, save us from the inevitable.
The year 2020 put all of this on hold in so many ways and I have felt so disillusioned to the point of is all of this what we are really supposed to be doing? Not being able to have visitors to the garden has given me a heavy heart. But it has also given us an opportunity to focus on the future for Haseya and our plans in creating a wellness retreat!
We are happy to share that we are developing a wellness centre in Slovakia alongside the garden in Chingford, London. We will keep you informed of the progress and we aim to be back in the Haseya Apothecary Garden, Chingford for some Autumn workshops.
